US Mint saying

they will make 2009 proof 1 oz Buffalos

they will make the 2009 AGE coins in all four types

maybe some platinum coin(s)

all in the NEW "coin world" mag.

I'd like to see it for it might be the last year via speculation.

I rather see a little :15_1_70v: than hear a lot :cry1: - however.

Flakes :36_1_28: always say a lot. Sadly :signs14:

I will definitely pick up a 1 ounce Gold Buffalo if they do in fact produce them. Those are some sweet coins! :565:

I bet they will be ridiculously expensive. But hey, can't be as much as that UHR Double Eagle I bought a while back. :15_1_70v:

I will believe it when I see it. The Mint seems to be all over the place IMO. They will probably do what they did with the UHR Double Eagle. For example, once the Mint starts accepting orders for 2009 1-oz gold eagles, then there will be a lot of people ordering it and then the Mint will probably say that the order is "pending" and then it will be "canceled" and you have to order again at a higher price (if gold goes up during that time). Maybe I am wrong on this because I have never ordered anything directly from the U.S. Mint and I do not plan to. I am just curious about what will happen once the U.S. Mint starts accepting orders for 2009 GAE's.

A dealer nearby priced the Buffalos higher than eagles when they first came out(posters on the wall advertising and celebrating the Buffs), then lackluster response they soon went same price as the eagles. A lot of people thought they were ugly compared to the eagles and still didnt move as fast.

Now there is a high premium on them due to rareness go figure. Sometimes there is just a small window to purchase something that is not in demand before it becomes expensive. Mostly has to do with luck.

Yea, but at least we'll know where to find them.

I was hoping that the bullion version would find it's way back... No such luck.
The only 24K bullion coin that the US produced and personally my favorite.

I still hope the mint sees that there is room for a 24K bullion coin along side the GAE.

yes... they are and so is the UHR but neither are considered bullion by the Mint.

I'm more interested in the bullion Buffalo(2006 - 2008) not the Unc.(2008) or Proof(2006 - ????) because they carry the Mint premium.

Oh, I was responding to your comment: "The only 24K bullion coin that the US produced"...
